Lensbaby today announced the new Composer Pro II with Edge 50 Optic, the latest product in the company’s creative effects lens stable. It’s a manual focus 50mm f/3.2 lens with a metal body and a tilt design that lets you control your depth of field in-camera.
Photos captured with the lens have Lensbaby’s special look : “a sharp slice of focus bordered by silk, smooth blur.” The lens is capable of ordinary straight lens photos as well. If you want to switch to tilt photography, just swivel and tilt the lens using the metal ball and socket design.
Other specs and features of the lens include a 9-blade aperture, a minimum focusing distance of 8 inches, and 46mm filter threads.
Here are some official sample photos captured with the lens:
The Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Edge 50 Optic is available now for Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony Alpha A, Pentax K, Fuji X, Sony Alpha E, Micro 4/3rds, and Samsung NX mounts. It has a price tag of $425.
