Want to see what’s inside a modern instant camera? The website All About Circuits just published a teardown of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 to explore the inner workings of the camera.
“There is a surprising amount of circuitry inside this camera,” All About Circuits concludes. “When it was first recommended for a teardown, I expected to find a flash charging and firing circuit similar to the type found in a disposable camera.”
“I was quite surprised to discover a microcontroller and complex circuitry apparently needed to give users an instant photograph.”
You can find a deeper look at the camera’s circuitry in this article. You can also purchase a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 for yourself for $64.
