This is President Trump’s Official Portrait

Donald Trump officially became the President of the United States yesterday, and his official portrait has been published as well.

While there doesn’t seem to be any info released about the photographer behind the shot, the EXIF data in the photo file tells us the camera gear behind the shot.

It was captured with an older (announced back in August 2007 and since discontinued) Canon 1Ds Mark III using a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens at 145mm, f/2.8, 1/320s, and ISO 640.

How did the photographer do with President Trump’s official portrait?

By comparison, here’s President Obama’s first official portrait, captured by photographer Pete Souza and released back in January 2009:

The portrait above was captured with a Canon 5D Mark II (announced in September 2008) at 105mm and 1/125s, f/10, and ISO 100.

When Obama was re-elected, Souza captured a second official White House portrait of Obama:

This second time, Souza shot the portrait using a Canon 5D Mark III and 85mm f/1.2L lens at 85mm, f/7.1, 1/125s, and ISO 200.
