The Canon 5D Mark IV is one of the most anticipated DSLR releases on the horizon, and yesterday we got our first peek at what kind of specs the full-frame SLR may be sporting when it finally makes its debut in about 4 months.
The report comes from the folks at Canon Rumors, who received the list from an unknown source. According to that source, we’re looking at a slight spec bump across the board from Canon when compared to the Mark III.
Resolution will go from 22.3 to 24.2MP, the Digic 5+ processor will be upgraded to a Digic 7+, max ISO will go from 25,600 to 51,200, and burst capability will go from 6 to 7fps. Other rumored specs include a 3.2-inch touchscreen, CFast/SD dual card slots, built in WiFi and GPS, and 61 AF-point autofocus with 41 crosstype points. All of this while still reducing the weight slightly.
As CR points out, this is a list from an unknown source, so we suggest applying a generous helping of salt to the information.
