Snapseed Gets New Photo Filters and a Facelift

Google today rolled out the latest version of its Snapseed photo-editing application. Version 2.18, available for Android and iOS users, features a fresh new user interface and new presets.

Google says that the new version is designed for “faster editing” as well as “more efficient access to your favorite features.” The new version features a light theme, a big change from the previous dark color scheme.

Unlike the previous version, “Looks” are now available to access straight from the main screen of the app. From there, you can then go ahead to apply a number of customized filters to your photos.

There are also 11 new presets created by the Snapseed team to give you completely different styles with a simple tap of the finger.

iOS users will soon benefit from a new “Perspective” tool, too. This will adjust skewed lines and “perfect the geometry of horizons or buildings.”

The update is available now to users on Google Play and the iTunes App Store.
