7Artisans Unveils Four New Affordable Lenses for Mirrorless Cameras

The Chinese lens manufacturer 7Artisans has released four new lenses to market. They’re all designed for mirrorless cameras, with mounting options for Sony E, MFT, Fujifilm X, and Canon EOS M cameras. There’s also a new lens for Leica M cameras.

7Artisans is a budget option for photographers, acting as an alternative to the more expensive main brand gear. All of the new lenses here are manual focus only.

25mm f/1.8 for Sony E/Fujifilm X/MFT mounts

This lens has an aluminium and copper core, weighing only 143 grams. It has 7 elements in 5 groups, with an aperture range of f/1.1 – f/1.8. The aperture has 12 diaphragm blades and the filter thread is 46mm.

It’s designed for APS-C and Micro Four Thirds sensors, and is available for $70.

35mm f/2 for Sony E/Fujifilm X/Canon EOS M mounts

With 12 aperture blades, this lens has 7 elements arranged into 5 groups. It also has a 43mm filter thread, with the same aluminium body and copper core, but weighing in at 320 grams.

It’s designed for full frame sensors, and is available for $156.

50mm f/1.1 for Leica M mount

This lens is only available for the Leica M cameras, although it isn’t yet compatible with the M4 or M4a. This nifty-fifty lens uses 12 aperture blades, with 7 elements arranged into 6 groups.. 7Artisans claims to have used a Sonnar design and its high-refractive index glass improves the lens’ performance at the widest apertures.

The lens is available for $370.

7.5mm f/2.8 for Sony E/Fujifilm X/MFT mounts

This 7.5mm is a fisheye lens that apparently has a maximum angle of view of 180 degrees. With 11 elements arranged into 8 groups, it also has a 12-bladed iris.

This lens is available for $140.
