Samyang just dropped a high-speed bokeh bomb on the mirrorless APS-C market. So if you think your manual focus skills can keep up, meet the brand-new, ultra-fast Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS.
The new manual focus 35mm f/1.2 lens boasts nine elements in seven groups, including ‘Ultra Multi Coating,’ two aspherical lens elements, and an extra-low dispersion element for good measure. All of this together promises to, “minimize aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, delivering high resolution from the centre to the corners of the image.”
The 9-blade aperture can close down from f/1.2 all the way to f/16, and the minimum focusing distance is 1.24 feet.
The Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS is compatible with Sony E, MFT, Fujifilm X, and Canon M mounts, and will be globally available starting in September for 450 EUR (~$500 USD). Click here to head over to the Samyang website and find out more.
