If you have a lens of one mount and a camera with another, there’s a good chance that there’s an adapter out there that can help you pair the two. Instead of using a native lens designed for your camera, an adapter can help you shoot with an adapted lens. Photographer Mark Ryan Sallee of Michromatic released this helpful 12-minute primer on the subject.
“Like a lot of things, uncertainty about adapting lenses — what it actually is, how it works, and the pros/cons of old lenses — is resistance,” Sallee tells PetaPixel. “I put together a video to dismantle this uncertainty and try to make adapted lenses accessible to more photographers.”
